Eureka’s Sept. 1 City Council agenda places a proposed urgency ordinance moratorium on data centers among the meeting’s clearest policy items.
The agenda identifies the item as Bill No. 1061-C.S., titled “Urgency Ordinance Moratorium on Data Centers,” and says staff recommends waiving full reading and adopting it.
The ordinance appears on the council’s Sept. 1 agenda alongside a range of other consent, contract and grant items, but the agenda itself does not show whether the moratorium passed, failed or was amended. It also does not include the ordinance text, how long the moratorium would last or whether it would contain exceptions.
