The Humboldt County Board of Supervisors approved a contract with SVT Gruppe Inc. to provide security and secure transportation services for the county Department of Health and Human Services, with spending capped at $1,470,976.
The Aug. 25 Board action covers the period from Sept. 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027. The new agreement follows the county’s prior SVT arrangement, which was scheduled to run through Aug. 31.
The services include security and secure transportation for DHHS facilities and clients. The county’s agenda identifies the procurement as Request for Proposals No. DHHS2026-01 and says the board received the submitted proposals before approving SVT’s selection.
The board pulled the item from its consent calendar for discussion. Supervisors approved the recommendation 5-0 and authorized the DHHS director, or a designee, to execute the agreement and later amendments after review by County Counsel, Risk Management and the County Administrative Office.
