Redwood Coast Energy Authority is preparing to submit its 2026 integrated resource plan to the California Public Utilities Commission by the Aug. 10 deadline, according to the agency’s July 23 board packet.

The agenda asks directors to approve filing the plan, which is tied to a staff attachment labeled the draft 2026 integrated resource plan narrative. In the packet summary, staff say the modeled portfolio now totals about $706 million over the planning horizon, up from a $535 million estimate presented last month.

The plan is one of several policy and procurement items on the July 23 docket. The same packet also includes a proposed rate strategy, a wind power purchase agreement and an NREN sponsorship payment.

The board meeting agenda lists the IRP item as a consent-calendar matter: “Approve Submission of RCEA’s 2026 Integrated Resource Plan Filing to the CPUC Consistent with Attachment 1, Draft 2026 Integrated Resource Plan Narrative.” The packet summary says the filing covers model years 2028 through 2045 and reflects a broader mix of long-term resource assumptions, including storage and other renewable resources.

The public agenda and staff summary are the clearest documents in the packet on the filing itself. They do not show whether the board approved the plan at the meeting or whether any changes were made after public discussion.

The board was also scheduled to meet at the Wharfinger Building in Eureka with online and phone participation available.
