The Fortuna City Council’s June 15 regular meeting agenda puts several major policy items on one docket, including adoption of the fiscal year 2026-27 operating budget, a public hearing on city rates and fees, and first reading of an ordinance to amend animal-control enforcement and penalties.

According to the agenda posted by the city, council also is set to consider Resolution 2026-27 on the 2026 Urban Water Management Plan and Water Shortage Contingency Plan, and to discuss River Lodge lease options and the property’s lease status.

The packet also lists a consent calendar with routine business, including monthly department reports, approval of June 1 meeting minutes, a bingo permit application for Critters Without Litters, the 2026 annual water supply and demand assessment, and three maintenance contracts for street paving, striping and concrete work.

The agenda says council may take action on any item listed, but it does not show what, if anything, was approved or changed at the meeting itself. The meeting was scheduled for 6 p.m. at City Hall, 621 11th St., with a Zoom option also provided.
