The Fortuna City Council is scheduled to consider proposed labor side letters for the Fortuna Police Employees Association and the Fortuna Employees Association at its Oct. 19 special meeting.
The city’s meeting agenda places the item on the consent calendar and also calls for consideration of Resolution 2026-36 for the unrepresented group for fiscal years 2025-2027. The proposed action would authorize City Manager Amy Nilsen to execute the agreements.
The agenda lists draft side letters for both employee associations and the resolution as attachments. It does not state the proposed changes to pay, benefits, staffing or other employment terms, or provide a total fiscal impact. Because the document is an agenda rather than meeting minutes, it does not establish whether the council ultimately approved the proposals.
The council’s special meeting is scheduled for 4 p.m. at City Hall, 621 11th St., with a Zoom option listed in the agenda. The city agenda says the council may take action on items listed for the meeting.
