Cutten Elementary School District trustees discussed a $150,000 true-up tied to the district’s 2024–25 NCSMIG medical-program assessment during their Sept. 14 meeting, according to the board’s meeting minutes.
The minutes say the amount was due to “poor oversight of deficit spending” and that the district “could be on the hook for two more years of liability.” The record does not specify whether that liability would be paid in installments, identify the underlying NCSMIG statements or correspondence, or describe any outside audit or review.
