The Humboldt County Zoning Administrator is scheduled to consider a proposed expansion of an existing cannabis cultivation operation in the Dinsmore area on Nov. 5.

The consent-calendar agenda item concerns Ivan Jimenez’s request to modify a special permit for a microbusiness associated with approved cultivation permit PLN-12603-SP. The proposal, listed under Record No. PLN-2026-19571, would add distribution, offsite retail sales and processing expansion.

County staff recommend that the Zoning Administrator adopt a resolution finding that the project complies with the General Plan and Zoning Ordinance and that the administrator has considered an addendum to the environmental impact report for the county’s Commercial Cannabis Land Use Ordinance. The proposed approval would be subject to conditions, according to the agenda and its attachments.

The supporting materials include a site plan addressing a stream-side setback, a distribution plot plan, an operations plan for Goldrush Distribution, road evaluations, a well connection report, the CEQA addendum and referral-agency comments.

The agenda does not show whether the Zoning Administrator ultimately approved, denied or continued the request. It also does not include a final vote tally, public comments or the operative final conditions.
