Yuba City Unified School District’s Governing Board has placed a public hearing on the California Learning Academy charter petition on its June 23 regular meeting agenda, according to the board agenda.
The item is listed as a public hearing under Education Code section 47605. The agenda material identifies the proposed school as California Learning Academy, but it does not include the petition’s rationale, a staff recommendation or any board vote.
The hearing is one of several high-stakes items on the June 23 agenda. The board also is scheduled to consider adoption of the 2026-27 proposed budget and approval of the 2026-27 Local Accountability Plan, along with a series of contracts and facilities-related actions, according to the agenda.
The meeting is scheduled to begin with closed session at 6 p.m., followed by open session at 7 p.m. at the district office in Yuba City.
